I am working on this commission of a “were-moth” girl, and I’m trying to get better at inking stuff digitally.
There are two things I wanted to ask about in particular (though general critiques are certainly welcome!):
1. When drawing broad strokes (like with the girl’s hair) how do you do it with a wacom? Without a cintiq, I can’t use my whole arm, so I’m trying to figure out how to work past that in an efficient manner.
2. If the line weight of certain parts are all over the place, how is cleanup usually done? Do you just fade the image and redraw that part while erasing the original? I’m looking for ways to fix issues with my drawing that are efficient, because it simply takes too long for me to produce stuff when I work digital.
I also am keen to hear of any tutorials for digital inking that any of you would recommend? I want to thank all of you for your time, and I look forward to hearing feedback!
